What's New - Study Concludes Tutorial Software Improves Writing Skills by 12.91%


A study of 4th grade students at a New Jersey school district compared writing samples between a group of control classes and classes that used tutorial writing software. Students working with tutorial software outperformed the control group by 12.91%. Merit Software's Writing Fitness and Renaissance Learning's Perfect Copy were used in this study.

The writing skills tutorial software study was written as part of a graduate student's dissertation. Other research projects are underway. Results and findings will be announced in upcoming issues of this newsletter.

Customer Feedback - Writing Fitness


"It's wonderful. It gives us better results than workbooks," remarks a teacher at Southington High School in Southington, Connecticut, about Merit Software's Writing Fitness. The W. K. Kellogg Foundation provides Youth and Education grants to forge partnerships between local communities and educational institutions working with vulnerable youth.
