What's New - California Learning Resource Network Cites Algebra Shape-Up

The California Learning Resource Network (CLRN) cites Merit Software's Pre-Algebra Shape-Up and Basic Algebra Shape-Up as supplementary sources for 6th-9th grade students needing skill development and practice. CLRN finds that Merit's Algebra Shape-Up software meets review criteria for California's state content standards.

Pre-Algebra Shape-Up and Basic Algebra Shape-Up help students gain confidence at working with equations and formulas, graphs and pie charts, ratios and scale. Problems are broken down into simple steps. Tutorials introduce each step, and a feature reinforces math concepts.

Customer Feedback - Basic Skills Pack

"Teachers use the software frequently. Even though our students are fairly limited in computer skills, they are very comfortable with the software. It is used as preparation for the GED. It is also used as supplemental work for ESL and Developmental students. Students and staff are very pleased with it," says an educator at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, MI about Merit Software's Basic Skills Pack.

This software bundle, which consists of a select group of programs, targets over 30 basic skills competencies. Text and graphics will appeal to both school age and adult students.
