Eleanor Roosevelt Teacher Fellowships
Fellowships are awarded to women public school teachers for professional development and projects designed to advance girls' interest in math, science and/or technology. Additional funding is available for a colleague to also attend the July 2003 5-day workshop. Applicants may also apply for Project Implementation Grants of up to $10,000. Dissemination grants will be available in 2004-05. Applications will be available July 1, 2001.

In-Service Training for Elementary Schools
This award is designed to help defray the costs of professional development activities for elementary teachers. Entries are judged using the following criteria: need, scope of the plan, existence of other contributing sources of funding, percent of staff participation, urban-rural isolation, and multiethnic student body.

Inspired Teacher Scholarships for Visual Learning
Thirty educator scholarships will be awarded to support the ongoing training in technology and visual learning of teachers across the United States.

MarcoPolo State and School District Professional Development
This grant program offers on-site staff development workshops to school districts. The seminars are taught by professionally trained Internet education specialists and attendees receive copies of the MarcoPolo Teacher Training Kit, which includes a trainer's guide, CD-ROM, mouse pad, and a classroom poster. Trained educators then return to their own school districts and conduct workshops for other teachers.

National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Seminars & Institutes
Rigorous, residential seminars and institutes in the humanities are available to educators who teach American K-12 students.
