Vocabulary Super Stretch
Helps students with word recognition, meanings,
and origins of challenging words.
Students enrich their vocabulary through challenging
activities such as matching words to ideas and completing
crossword puzzles.
After an assessment, students work on specific words in a variety of activities based on grade-appropriate word
lists.
Uses the same format as Vocabulary
Stretch, with more challenging words.
Students are able to track their progress and print
results. Students' scores are kept in a record management
system that allows teachers to view and print reports.
The questions, answers and explanations of the program can be spoken aloud by using the Merit Text Talker.
Designed for students in grades 9 through 11 (age
14 and up), the software can also be used by ESL and adult
students interested in improving their vocabulary skills.

Set 1: Vocabulary Super Stretch, Skill levels 9 - 10
Set 2: Vocabulary Super Stretch, Skill levels 10 - 11
Each set contains 108 vocabulary words and 920 questions.
Contextual help and feedback will engage students of all
ages.
Students choose from a menu of reward animations and sounds.
All student work is stored in the Teacher Program Manager.
Content can be spoken aloud by using the Merit Text Talker.

Recognize word origins

Endeavor, Wry, Chronicle, Benevolent, and Afflict
Set 2: Blatant, Garner, Abdicate, Reticent, Sojourn, Entreat,
Entail, Hierarchy, Expound, and Mesmerize
All versions of this Merit Software Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/2003/XP program require 8 MB RAM and 40 MB hard disk space. This program requires a minimum screen resolution of 800 by 600 pixels.
