Issues Students Face With Vocabulary

Students want to master vocabulary and succeed in the classroom, on state tests and on national exams. They want to study the key benchmarks of vocabulary that will be measured on standardized tests. Students also want immediate feedback on how to improve their vocabulary skills.

Interactive vocabulary software can be a great tool to help students achieve their goals. Particularly if the programs offer constructive feedback and provide instructors and students with measurable results.

Why Merit Software Works for Interactive Vocabulary

Merit's interactive vocabulary programs were designed with these features in mind. Many teachers have reported that they have been effective in helping them teach the vocabulary in classroom and lab settings.

Merit programs cover the core vocabulary skills that students must master. The format holds student interest and keeps students engaged. Contextual help and support is available throughout the program. When working with Merit's vocabulary software, students are able to see their strengths and weaknesses in a nonjudgmental manner. This helps them accept responsibility for the challenge of improving their vocabulary skills.

All Merit programs store student records in a centralized management system. This allows teachers to manage student records in one place, monitor students' progress, and view and print detail reports on individual students or classes. Instructors can easily track students' progress and intervene when a student is having trouble.

Who Has Been Helped by Merit Interactive Vocabulary Software

Merit interactive vocabulary software is used in classrooms and computer labs as a supplement, or as part of the regular curriculum. The interactive vocabulary software may also be used by tutors, therapists and parents.
