Merit Question and Answer
Nervous about writing test

QUESTION:

Area of Concern: Writing Mechanics & Grammar
Submitted by: Self / Adult
Grade Level: High School
Competency: Above Level
I am registered to start some writing courses in college. I have a grammar program and a spell checker in my own computer. Before I start my courses I am supposed to write an english assessment test, so that they can decide at what level of communications I will be placed. Before I take this test I will like to get some practice with my writing skills. I am nervous because when I do the test I won't have my grammar helper to direct me. What do you think is the best place to start?

ANSWER:

Thanks for your inquiry. We have helped many students to improve their writing skills. Paragraph Punch and Essay Punch are our most popular programs for this purpose. They are both interactive writing tutorials in which students learn to present information in a clear and concise manner. The programs guide students step-by-step through the process of completing a written work.
