Merit Question and Answer
Teaching pre-writing with technology

Area of Concern: Process Writing
Submitted by: Teacher
Grade Level: ESL
Competency: Below Level
Do you have anything that would help me teach pre-writing with technology (i.e. laptop)? I plan to do brainstorming, organizing, etc. with my class.

We've helped many teachers teach pre-writing with their classes.

Our most popular program for this purpose is Paragraph Punch. It is an interactive writing tutorial in which students learn to present information in a clear and concise manner.

The program guides students step-by-step through the process of completing a written work. Steps to complete work include brainstorming, organizing, edititing and proofreading.
