High School Students need help with Reading Comprehension
I have 17 9th and 10th grade students who scored low on the reading comprehension of the TAP test. They are not motivated to improve their skills. I need activities to help them improve.
ANSWER:
Merit software has helped many high school students improve their reading comprehension skills.
The most popular program for this purpose is Developing Critical Thinking Skills for Effective Reading.
Developing Critical Thinking Skills for Effective Reading helps students improve their reading comprehension and develops their ability to make inferences. It is designed for students who read at a 5th to 8th grade level.
Once students experience success you can move them to Developing Critical Thinking Skills for Upper Grades, which is for students who read at a 8th through 11th grade level.
