Response to Intervention Guide
Response to Intervention (RTI) is the US Department of Education’s recommended model for assessing all students and providing early interventions to help struggling students.
Key to the RTI method is the application of easy-to-use scientifically-based interventions that have been shown to work in randomized controlled trials.
Merit helps teachers integrate scientifically proven methods of reading and writing instruction in the everyday classroom. It is one of the few resources available to school districts that fit the RTI criterion.
RTI is a process of classifying students into three tiers. School districts have flexibility in selecting their tools to implement RTI.
