Merit Software offers free evaluation versions of all its software by download from our web site. The evaluation software contains full-working exercises of the complete programs.
To download a product's evaluation software, click on the "Try-It" link which is usually located under "Product Details" on each product's webpage.
You will be directed to the product's download page. At the bottom of the download page is the "Free Download" section. Check the boxes next to the programs you would like to try and select "download"
Once the software has downloaded double click the installation program and follow the prompts to complete the installation. You will need to Administrative priviledges in order to install the demo.
Based on input from our customers, we have sorted our programs by grade level and type of student. We suggest that you use this resource as a guide to find the right programs for you.
The evaluation software is a full working sample of a complete program. It represents 10% to 30% of a complete program's contents. Each program works for 30 days after its first use, and then shuts off. During the 30-day trial, the learning exercises are active, but printing is limited and assessments are disabled.
In addition, active sessions are limited to 20 minutes. Users may restart the program and login again to continue their evaluation.
Shortcuts to the evaluation software are installed in the Merit Evaluation Software folder. To start the evaluation software, go to the Merit Evaluation Software icon located on your desktop or within your Start menu. Select the folder of the program you wish to try. Then select the Evaluation option.
For example, to use the Grammar Fitness evaluation program, go to Start, then Programs > choose Merit Evaluation Software > pick Grammar Fitness Level 2 > select Grammar Fitness Level 2 Evaluation.
Once you have used one of the programs, you will have created some recorded data. To view the data in the TPM, start the program again. When you see the title screen hold the CTRL key and press T instead of clicking through. When asked for a password, simply click OK and you will be logged in.
